Abby had her first day of preschool this morning. She had a great time and loves her teacher. We all survived without any tears and we are looking forward to a great year!

Here are a few pics of some things we have done over the last couple weeks. The first few pictures are from the Orange County Fair. We spent a fun afternoon there with the girls. The girls loved the animals and we loved the food
The next few pictures are when we surprised Brent’s mom, Laurie, with a limo ride to Duke’s in Malibu to celebrate her 60th birthday. We had a great time celebrating with family.
The last pictures are from a boat ride around Naples with Stacy and Zack. We got some pizza and went for a sunset cruise. It was gorgeous outside and the girls had a blast.

Last weekend I went to Oregon to visit my good friends Mike and Ivy. They moved there last summer and bought a gorgeous 25 acre ranch in Hood River. It was wonderful spending time with them. I had a lot of fun whitewater rafting down the White Salmon River in Washington. I also picked blackberries and made jam. We did a little wine tasting also, but mostly just enjoyed hanging out on their gorgeous ranch. It was a beautiful trip spent with good friends and I can’t wait to visit them again!

Here are some pics from some of our summer activities. The first few pictures come from when I took the girls to Rainforest Cafe (which Abby totally loved) and to the Disney store to buy Abby a new princess dress. This was her reward for wearing bandaids on her thumbs for naps and bedtime for the last 4 months to stop her from sucking her thumb. Well, she has finally broken the habit, so we celebrated and got her a reward.
The rest of the pictures are from our visit to the Santa Ana Zoo (we have annual passes there), summer swimming lessons, and our family bonfire at the beach. We are having lots of fun this summer and are finally enjoying some warm weather

Abby had her big ballet performance last night. She has been practicing all spring at the Huntington Beach Academy of Dance. Her dance was called Arabian Princesses. She looked super cute in her costume, and it was so special to have both sets of grandparents, Aunt Stacy, and Aunt Kathy there to watch. Sorry we don’t have any pictures during her actual dance, we were videotaping instead.

Today was a gorgeous day, so Brent set up the pool. We have such a fun pool for little kids. It is a small pool and a large pool connected by a slide. The girls love it! Here are a few pictures of our fun afternoon.
